Most Cardiothoracic procedures require drapes that can withstand heavy manipulation and reduce the likelihood of infection. There is often a large amount of fluid involved with these procedures and therefore drapes used should have fluid control features. Drapes that contain antimicrobial features can reduce the risk of surgical site infection which is very important in this type of surgery.
